Membership Administrator

Location: The PGA National Training Academy, Ping House, The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands

The PGA’s mission is to improve the personal and professional lives of its Members through our values of being professional, acting with integrity, being respectful and supportive.  To help us deliver our core objectives, the PGA is seeking to recruit a Membership Administrator, based at PGA National Training Academy, The Belfry who will provide administration support to the Membership Department including the Business Relationship Officer service, Membership Database, Membership Benefits, renewal of Subscriptions and APAL.  

Based within the Membership Department principal duties will include: dealing with written/verbal enquiries; maintaining the Membership CRM database; implement Committee decisions on Membership eligibility/categories; notification and collection of annual subscriptions ensuring they are processed within given deadlines; working closely with monthly direct debit facility provider to ensure efficientcy for Members; generating correspondence/assisting with general mail outs as required; accreditation for Professional Achievement and Learning (APAL) responsibilities; dealing with applications and associated administration; attending and contributing to meetings; taking minutes of meeting;  preparing correspondence, certificates and arranging plaques;  liaising with the APAL Council and other departments; have a comprehensive understanding of Member Benefits; effectively assist Members with enquiries; liaise with benefit providers when necessary; checking/benchmarking Member benefits; producing statistics when required by the management team; providing administrative support for Business Relationship Officers, responsibilities to include:  act as the main point of contact for members enquiring about BRO support; arrange meetings with Members and BRO’s; provide documentation to members following meetings between a BRO and Member; arrange/minute BRO team meetings; input data into CRM; arrange travel when required; support team in producing statistics and reports; assist the Head of Membership Administration to manage the CRM functionality to ensure member data is accurate so that Member engagement can be managed effectively; produce Membership statistics/reports from CRM when requested; assist the Head of Membership Administration in the ongoing development of CRM.

Essential Skills and experience;

  • Previous experience in a customer-service environment (ideally)
  • Administration experience
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Previous Database management experience
  • Minute taking experience (desirable)
  • Understands and complies with data protection requirements

Having a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach with a focus on the business, our people and PGA Members is fundamental for the role, as is having the ability to manage a varied workload whilst being positive, professional and supportive.  Being a good communicator with excellent attention to detail are amongst the key competences needed to succeed in this role.

This is a permanent, full-time role with core hours of the business being from 9 am until 5 pm (Monday to Friday).
