Table Tennis England is the National Governing Body for table tennis in England. With Sport England as its major funder, it is well positioned within the 2017-2021 funding cycle. The Table Tennis England Mission 2025 strategy aligns well with the Sport England strategy of Towards an Active Nation. Table tennis is a sport and activity that lends itself both to having a dedicated ‘core market’ as well as a growing ‘mass market’ which attracts new people to the sport as well and providing gateway to physical activity.

The function of the Development and Volunteering Department is to work closely with the traditional and core market, namely clubs, leagues, schools and volunteers. Priority areas for the organisations work within the core market include; U11 participation, Female participation and the experience and retention of adult participants. It is an exciting time for the department, with the opportunity to work closely with our clubs and leagues to grow participation and the development of a new youth initiative set to launch in April 2019.
