An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-rounded, ambitious and creative person to join our team from February 2019 to February 2020.

Badminton England is the National Governing Body for badminton in England, dedicated to the growth and success of badminton in England.

Role Summary:

To lead the implementation of Discover Badminton within agreed area with a primary focus on revenue generation targets driven from maximising customer acquisition and retention.

To identify partners that can support delivery of Discover Badminton and develop and manage an ongoing relationship with those partners that maximises delivery of strategic targets.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

o Maximise revenue generation for Badminton England through effective customer acquisition and retention against targets.

o Identify and then build and maintain excellent relationships with key partners and stakeholders to deliver Discover Badminton strategic targets with a primary focus on revenue generation.

o Maintain an up to date understanding of customers and customer needs and embed customer insight in delivery across all partners.

o Match Badminton England products and services to customer need.

o Maximise data collection with partners and stakeholders through effective use of Badminton England platforms and CRM system.

o Identify, secure and deploy external funding to support local delivery.

o Act as first point of contact for Badminton England customers in a designated geographical area.

o Track progress against KPIs and allocate time/resources most effectively to maximise return.

o Enable workforce development and implementation of competition pathway.

o Contribute to the development of national policy by undertaking local projects determined by geographical need.

The Person:

o Ability to sell products and services, to acquire and retain customers and secure revenue for the organisation.

o Track record of achievement in delivering strategic targets and maximising revenue generation.

o Ability to negotiate with partners and stakeholders to secure delivery of strategic targets and maximise revenue generation.

o Identify key partners with whom long lasting and productive relationships are built and maintained.

o Ability to lead and influence partners and stakeholders to deliver strategic goals and agreed targets.

o Strong customer service orientation to underpin customer acquisition and retention.

o Proven track record of utilising products and services to meet customer need.

o Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast moving environment and use initiative to seize opportunities.

o Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships at all levels.

o Managing multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

o Accepting responsibility and responding promptly to the need for effective decision making.

o Communicating, presenting and influencing credibly and effectively at all levels.

o Ability to work remotely whilst also contributing to cross collaboration working.
