National Football Development Officer

Salary: Circa £28,000

Location: Homebased Contract (role coverage is nationwide)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen within AoC Sport as we recruit a National Football Development Officer in partnership with the Football Association.

In this role you will be working collaboratively with the AoC Sport staff team to support and enhance football and futsal participation in colleges and across FE communities. You will manage national football and youth leadership programmes to increase participation in line with the ECFA National Strategy 2017-21, contributing towards the FA National Game Strategy. You will build strong internal and external relationships to grow college and community football and futsal under the organisation’s football brand, ECFA, in order to increase participation and report impact to The Football Association (FA).

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for football and its growth in association with the development of young people. We are seeking an individual with experience of football/sport development who has the capability to manage projects on a large scale as the successful individual will support the implementation of national plans to increase participation and provide high quality playing and volunteering opportunities. You will demonstrate the ability to work independently and under your own initiative; and will also be effective in working in a team, generating and contributing ideas to meetings and have the discipline to see plans through to successful conclusion. Effective interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication and good presentation skills are essential for this role to ensure that key stakeholders engage effectively and support the implementation of our strategy. Additionally, you will have a flexible approach to your work with a positive, outcome focused approach to problem solving.

This role will involve travel across England to deliver events and attend meetings with occasional overnight.
