Senior Development Manager - Multi-Academy Trusts Network

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus car allowance

Location: Home based or Loughborough based

Job Summary

Excited by the power of sport to energise young people you are looking for a role where your knowledge and expertise can make a difference. That is the unique opportunity we can offer you at the Youth Sport Trust (YST). We want you to help us grow our school membership network to help transform PE to focus on wellbeing and achievement and remove the barriers to sport for more young people.

As Senior Development Manager you will secure strategic membership partnerships and grow the YST member network, primarily within Multi-Academy Trusts (MAT), chains and strategic groups of schools. This will involve establishing, cultivating and managing relationships as well as growing the membership reach and impact by building on new and existing leads. To underpin the membership offer, you will develop high quality and accessible resources that add value and support school or partner priorities as well as review and update membership benefits to suit the needs of the MAT groups. You will also raise our profile and influence, with a particular focus on the MAT network, at a local level by recruiting and supporting a community of advocates. Important will be the ability to secure partnerships with new stakeholders that can generate income and secure funding for local development projects. In addition, you will support innovation and product development by providing intelligence and insight from the network.

Much of your success will depend on you having experience in the Education sector of delivering high level development support and thought leadership to schools, PE departments and other education institutions. You will have provided assistance and guidance to a network of professionals as well as been involved in the development of young people. You must also have sound knowledge of the latest developments in education and education policy as well as a good understanding of cross-curricular design, development and pedagogy and the value of PE and School Sport.

With a track record of meeting and exceeding targets, you will possess excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills. You will also be good at building relationships, overcoming problems and prioritising activities.
