Finance Manager

Salary: £40,000 and £50,000 per annum

Location: SportsAid Head Office in London

SportsAid is a national charity that provides financial support and recognition to emerging young talented sports people – the next generation of British sporting heroes and heroines. At the Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016, two thirds of Team GB and ParalympicsGB had been previously supported by SportsAid.

Reporting directly to, and working closely with, the charity’s Chief Executive, SportsAid’s Finance Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of many vital aspects of the charity’s work including financial accounting, management accounting, VAT and Gift Aid compliance, payroll, governance, IT strategy and financial modelling for events and new initiatives. SportsAid’s Finance Manager also acts as Company Secretary for the SportsAid group, participating in trustees’ board meetings and associated sub-committee meetings.

The charity operates with a relatively small team, and involvement in other activities is anticipated from time to time.

The role is based in London, but occasional travel to the Sport England TASS office in Newcastle should be anticipated.
