Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 per annum plus commission

Location: Bisham Abbey NSC, Marlow (flexible)

England Hockey is recruiting for a Business Development Officer to join its Sales and Marketing team. If you have a positive outgoing personality, are persistent, resilient and driven to achieve targets, we'd love to hear from you.

Following the success of the 2016 Olympics and looking forward to the Women’s World Cup in 2018, this is an exciting time to join our dynamic team.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Officer will be responsible for generating sales of EH’s products and services. Managing the sales process from identifying prospects, to telesales and closing deals.

The Business Development Officer will play an active role in the Commercial Team and across the business, helping develop a more commercial culture and growing our income streams

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Deliver England Hockey’s sales strategy to generate sales of corporate hospitality packages

• Research and qualify prospects for sponsorship and hospitality in line with the Business Development objectives

• Research and qualify prospects for Hockey Pro League sponsorship and hospitality in line with the Business Development objectives

• Support Business Development Manager on prospecting, research and proposals

• Manage the administration of your sales pipelines in an efficient, organised and ultimately successful manner, including providing succinct sales reports

• Work with the Relationship Managers and others with local engagement to identify prospects and raise awareness of EH commercial opportunities

• Provide feedback to marketing team of any relevant business intelligence gained by engaging with prospects and / or customers

• Support the delivery of match-day corporate hospitality and other events

• Any other reasonable management request
