An organisations vision is the expression of an ideal state it would like the world or the organisation to be in. The vision is how the world would look should the project(s) of the organisation be successful and what place the organisation would have in such world.

Example of a vision for NGBs could be that within a certain amount of years if would want a certain amount of the population to be active on a regular basis and it the NGB should be within the top 10 preferred sports.

The organisational vision is often expressed in a company’s mission statement. It is important when formulating the vision, companies make sure it is sufficient clear and concise for everyone in the organisation to understand and buy into it.
