An organisations value statement should be an expression of what common values that carry the work of the organisation. Values should express the beliefs of all the stakeholders involved in the organisation.
The value statement should be able to influence the organisational culture and, therefore, become the framework for decision making at all levels.
Implementing a value statement could ensure that every member of the organisation acts in accordance to how the organisation wishes to be seen.
It should, therefore, be at the core of training, appraisal and disciplinary procedures of the organisation.
