Stakeholder Engagement

Because a strategic plan is based on formulating common values, visions and the direction for an organisation – the implementation of the strategy and the buy-in from stakeholders are of vital importance.

The engagement of stakeholders in the implementation is vital especially when it comes to employees, clubs and volunteers – national governing bodies strategic plans are built on compliance from these stakeholders.

It will also be important for NGBs to involve stakeholders in the process of formulating the strategies in an early stage.

Because sport federations are heavily dependent on peoples participation it is important that they are involved when changes are planned.

In doing this you will increase the chances of stakeholders buying into the new strategy.
