The induction session is the most important training you offer volunteers because it is their first impression of your organisation and the volunteer programme and helps the volunteers understand how your organisation operates.

It should be designed to provide background and practical information to help them identify their role within the organisation and to better understand how they can contribute.

Example: Volunteer induction from Canoe England.
