Recruitment
Before starting recruitment for a new or existing role, step back and consider whether this is the right thing to do.
Think about whether you can use existing staff instead via role enrichment, promotion, secondment or side stepping.
For the right staff member these alternatives can provide the opportunity for them to develop their skills and can often be highly motivating.
However, if it is necessary to recruit a new person into your organisation, you may also wish to consider whether you want to offer a permanent role, a fixed-term contract, use an agency worker or a freelancer.
