Anti-doping

National governing bodies of sport play a major role in ensuring that all athletes and any supporting staff are educated in the issue of anti-doping.

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) works with national governing bodies of sport to help design educational programmes.

Organisations will be able to get help and guidance from UKAD directly (please see link below).

It is important for national governing bodies to protect their sport from doping and to educate their athletes and supporting staff about it.

Doping scandals creates bad publicity and sporting organisation should all have a mantra which involves promoting health and fair play.

Education ensures that all involved are aware of what is allowed, and what is not allowed.

A well-designed education system should help minimise doping offences being committed.
