Anti-Doping

Printer-friendly version

National Governing Bodies of Sport play a major role in ensuring that all athletes and any supporting staff is educated in the issue of anti-doping. UK Anti-Doping works with National governing bodies of sport to design any educational programmes and more organisations will be able to get help and guidance from UK anti-doping (Please see link below).

It is important for National Governing Bodies to protect its sport from doping and to educate its athletes and supporting staff about it. Having cases of anti-doping creates bad publicity and sporting organisation should be a place which promotes health and good fair play. Education ensures that all involved are aware of what is not allowed and a well-designed education system should ensure that no one, without knowing, takes anything which is banned.
