Code of Ethics
Having a code of ethics mean that all involved including athletes, knows what is expected of them when competing in competitions organised by the organisation. By having a code its easier for any organisation to educate its participants because no uncertainty exist of how to behave. It can help keeping the good reputation of the organisation and the events, tournaments and leagues which it organise and can be seen in relation to PR (please see Public Relation) and code of conduct (please see code of conduct).
Having a written code of ethics and making sure that all participants are aware of what it contains will also help the organisation in its disciplinary codes (please see disciplinary code) as the organisation can take up disciplinary cases without any uncertainty to whether its does or does not breach good ethics.
