The goal of employers to retain employees is initiated in order to decrease the employee turnover within an organisation and the associated cost and organisation will face. Decreasing staff turnover will directly influence costs such as training costs, the cost of temporary staff and the loss of production in the time where a position is being advertised. It will, however, also be implemented to secure the knowledge staff build up in their day to day work stays within the organisation.
