Board
The board section of Smart Sport focuses on the leadership of an organisation. It is divided into the following sections:
Structure - this provides information on different structures and legal requirements, such as company, charity or unicorporated associations.
Recruitment - this is a resource developed in partnership with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). It provides a step-by-step process of recruiting new Board members and includes examples and activities on board skills audits, board role descriptions and board inductions.
Resources - this provides guidance on inductions, codes of conduct and role descriptions for different members of the board, such as the chair or the treasurer.
Committees - this provides information on meeting management, conflicts of interest and sub committee structures.
If you are looking for something relating to the board and you cannot find it in this section then please email our governance team.
