New Year's Resolutions 2012

As part of our on-going mission to promote and protect the interests of the sport and recreation organisations we represent, we have set ourselves five New Year’s Resolutions to achieve in 2012. They are:
1. To help our members’ grassroots flourish
We will provide support for the activities of sport and representative bodies at grassroots level.
2. To support our members to improve their governance
We will do more to promote good governance in the sector as a whole.
3. To develop new ways to bring money into the sector
We will create and develop new ways to help our members' finances.
4. To ensure our members’ interests are protected during the merger of Sport England and UK Sport, and throughout any changes to funding or strategies
We will ensure that the best interests of sport are served during the merger. We will also do the same in relation to any changes in the Government's sports strategy or how sport is funded.
5. To improve access for our members to the UK’s woodland and forests
We will work with UK woodland and forest managers and owners to get better access for sport and recreational activities.
What do you think of our New Year’s Resolutions?
