Sports Parliamentarian of the Year 2011

In September 2011 the Sport and Recreation Alliance invited sport and recreation clubs, governing bodies and sectoral organisations to nominate a parliamentarian who deserved to be recognised for their efforts to promote and protect the interests of sport and recreation.

On 14 December John Woodcock MP was annouced as the overall winner for 2011 in recognition of his campaign to protect bowling greens.
