Learning Outside the Classroom

The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a Manifesto to support Learning Outside the Classroom.

As part of this initiative, the DfE is introducing a badging regime for quality learning provision (including safety) under the name of the LOtC Quality Badge. AAIAC has been appointed the Awarding Body for the Adventurous Activities sector and is basing assessment of the safety management elements on the AALA Licensing regime (for providers in scope of the Regulations) or Adventuremark for those out of scope. Safety is one of six headline quality indicators that will be assessed. Learn more about the LOtC Quality Badge.
