Emeritus Awards

The Alliance recognises Emeritus awards are given to individuals who have served a life-long or sustained service to sport and recreation by appointing them as honorary members of the Sport and Recreation Alliance. Photo of Brian Lee receiving the Emeritus Award

However, in many cases, reward or recognition is appropriate on a single occasion rather than through perpetual individual membership of an organisation with which they may have little current contact.

For these individuals, it was agreed back in 2003 that the CCPR (now the Alliance), should have the discretion to make a small number of Emeritus Awards at the Annual General Meeting.
