Sport Structures is an established award winning international sports management consultancy with over 100 years collective experience. We provide sports consultancy, global sport and sports event sector recruitment, education and programme delivery to the key agencies in sport within the UK and internationally.

All aspects of our work are underpinned by our comprehensive research approach.  Our focus on evidence based research provides reliable and robust outputs for shaping sports development in a number of contexts.

We pride ourselves in successfully shaping the development of sport by providing high quality services in Governance and Leadership, Policy and Strategic Planning, Project Management and Delivery, Workforce Development, Integrated Recruitment Solutions, Equity and Ethics, Coach and Volunteer Education, Coach Education Intervention Programme, and Monitoring and Evaluation.

We have developed an excellent track record of building positive and long-term relationships with a variety of high level governmental, voluntary, community, public and private sector sports organisations especially Governing Bodies of Sport.

Recent projects members include;

• Supporting a range of governing bodies including ECB, English Lacrosse, England Netball and British Yoga in the development of equality actions and training
• Supporting the British Kite Surfing Association in developing their new strategic plan,
• Assisting the development of a new governance structure for Roller Sport,
• Developing new resources for Golf Volunteers,
• Managing the monitoring and evaluation of the Sportivate project for Sport England
• Managing the implementation of UKCC coach education courses for England Basketball and England Handball.
• Making recruitment placements for the Arab Games in Doha and Glasgow 2014

The company is led by Simon Kirkland who has a broad background and experience in NGBs, having been Chief Executive of England Basketball for over four years, strategic sports planning, local authority sports development, facility management, coach education and training. He is a Board member of the Baseball-Softball UK and two County Sport Partnerships in the West Midlands. He is supported by industry experts;

Anna Gray joined Sport Structures from positions with UK Sport, Sport England and ASA. Anna is an equality expert and an advisor at three levels of the Equality standard for sport. 

Adrian Bradley is formally Head of Sport in Nottinghamshire County Council and has a depth of expertise in working with county and local authority partners.

David Barber is our recruitment expert with over 20 years experience in the industry. He has supported a range of clients and candidates to reach positive recruitment solutions.

Amy Heppingstall has project managed the delivery of education courses in disadvantaged part of the country for the past six years.

Sarah Green is our research expert and in her seven years with the company has managed a range of audit and research projects including the Workforce auditing and the monitoring of the Sportivate project.
