Water Recreation Division

The Sport and Recreation Alliance's Water Recreation Division encompasses all the major governing bodies of water-based activities. Whilst all members are concerned with access to and funding of waterways, they can make use of facilities in very different fashions. The division reflects the diversity of sports and recreational uses of the water, from fishing (both sea and freshwater) to power boat racing and from scuba diving to long distance swimming. The division also features three highly successful Olympic sports.

The division works closely with our Outdoor Pursuits Division and some of its key issues include the quality and cleanliness of our coastal and inland waterways and the health and safety concerns associated with water recreation.
