Key issues: 

The Scottish Parliament's health and sport committee has launched an inquiry on the topic of community sport.

The inquiry will address three key themes:

  1. The contribution of people, and in particular volunteers, to sport at a local level.
  2. The benefit of local sport clubs to the health agenda and their communities more widely.
  3. The importance of the availability, affordability and quality of facilities.
