U18 Regional Manager- East Midlands Region

Salary: Voluntary with expenses

Location: East Midlands

We are seeking applications for the voluntary position of Regional Manager to the U18 Squad in the East Midlands Region.  The East Region comprises the geographical area of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.  

The squad will comprise of a maximum of eight players each chosen at an Assessment Weekend and will be for players under 18 years of age.

The voluntary position will require a commitment based on 20 days of coaching, plus attendance at the England Golf winter conference, coach and manager education days and any relevant team meetings and tournament attendance.

The focus of the role will be to assist the Regional Coach (Tim Rouse) with the delivery of the U18 Regional Coaching Programme and to successfully manage and mentor the players to give them the best environment for their golf development.

Skills and attributes required

Requirements of the Applicant:

• A working knowledge of elite amateur golf;

• Dedicated to elite junior golf development;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Sound management skills;

• Enthusiastic, personable and competitive

Notes:

Reasonable expenses incurred as part of the U18 Regional Manager activity will be reimbursed by England Golf.

This role has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with England Golf policy persons undertaking this role will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one
