Membership Development Officer
Salary: In the range of £25,000 - £30,000 (per annum) pro rata for a three day week.
Contract: Fixed term until end of December 2012

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation. Our 320 members include everyone from the Football Association to the British Wheel of Yoga. And we are currently recruiting for a part-time Membership Development Officer.
The Role
The Membership Development Officer reports to the Head of Services and will work with her to deliver the membership services strategy which, in turn contributes to the achievement of our organisation’s overall strategic objectives. These include projects in relation to membership development and support and business development.
The successful applicant will understand the role and remit of national governing bodies (NGBs), and the context within which they work, including the sports development system. They will understand the development of sports policy within the UK and have excellent communication, advocacy and presentation skills, both oral and written.
