Performance Director for Disability Tennis

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Summary

The vision for the Tennis Foundation Disability Performance Programme is to become the world leading Disability Tennis programme delivering sustainable success at the highest level. We also aim to develop a robust Pathway and Talent Programme designed to produce a constant pipeline of new players who possess drive, talent and the correct attitude.

We are looking for an experienced Performance Director (or equivalent) who possesses a comprehensive understanding of disability sport and understands how to lead and manage successful performance programmes at World and/or Paralympic level. A strong communicator, this person will be a creative problem solver and has the ability to lead a team of world class coaches and experts to take the sport to even greater success. They will also have experience of developing strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Experience as an athlete, coach, or sport science and medicine practitioner is desirable.

The Performance Director will be responsible for further developing and delivering the strategy required to deliver our vision. Whilst the role of the PD is primarily about the development of wheelchair tennis as the Paralympic sport, responsibilities will also include supporting other categories of disability tennis performance namely deaf tennis and learning disability tennis.
