Women and Girls Coordinator

Salary: £19,606 - £25,000 depending on experience

Location: England Golf Headquarters, The National Golf Centre, The Broadway, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, LN10 6PU

We are the national governing body for amateur golf.  We work at the heart of golf in England, supporting and empowering a thriving community of players, counties and clubs to get the most out of the game we love.  We value being honest, inclusive, responsible, excellent and supportive.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to support the delivery of our Women and Girls participation work.  Working in conjunction with our Women and Girls Participation Manager, the new role will involve coordinating the delivery of the Girls Golf Rocks initiative, Academy Away Days and other nationally driven women & girl’s projects. The role will entail planning, overseeing the activation of and reviewing current and emerging projects to support a growth in the proportion of women and girls participating in golf. Additional duties will include the development of case studies, collating and analysing data, developing and inputting into resources and support for the women & girls advisory group.

Skills and attributes required

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

· The ability to gather and analyse information

· Excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues

· Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and deliver high quality work to tight timescales

· Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and volunteers

The successful applicant needs to be self-motivated with a ‘can do’, results driven approach, excellent attention to detail, and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and volunteers.  Prior experience in administration / project delivery is essential.  A knowledge of the game of golf is not essential however, would be beneficial.

The post is contingent on the availability of external funding from the R&A for a period of 3 years. This funding is subject to annual review by the funding agency and should it be withdrawn prior to the expiration of the 3-year term employment will cease with appropriate notice.  As the post is subject to external funding, there is also the possibility that the contract could be extended beyond the three year period.
