Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Description

Reporting to the Programme Manager, this role will be responsible for working across the organisation to co-ordinate marketing and communications. The purpose of the Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator is to work towards achieving the British Fencing vision for the future sustainability of the sport: 

Vision- “A strong, successful and sustainable Fencing Community”  

Mission - “To inspire and enable people to start, stay and succeed in fencing” 

By working towards this vision and British Fencings Social Media objectives, the Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator will be supported by staff across the organisation to achieve the following: 

• Support the delivery of the social media Marcomms calendar, by working alongside staff to develop a communications plan that will support various work programmes delivered through British Fencing. 

• Coordination of our social media platforms & input into British Fencing website. 

• Where possible, maximise media opportunities and production of content. 

• Support external communications to members and the wider public to profile British Fencing impact on the recreational market

The successful candidate will have a passion for marketing and experience in using a variety of social media platforms, as well as experience in copywriting for online and social channels. Although having knowledge of fencing is not essential, having a desire to learn about the sport and the fencing community will be an important part of this role.

This is a profession which is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check will be required.
