Swim England, based in Loughborough, are seeking an events officer to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity working within the Commercial and Marketing Department as part of a busy Events team responsible for delivering a portfolio of national aquatics events across the country. The role is 35 hours per week. Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water, and compete in our sports of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.

This is an exciting opportunity working within the Commercial and Marketing Department as part of a busy Events team responsible for delivering a portfolio of national aquatics events across the country.

Reporting to the head of events, the events officer will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of allocated national events for all aquatics disciplines, from concept to completion, helping to grow the profile of aquatics across the nation, enhancing event experiences and increasing commercial value. The successful events officer will manage budgets, lead on event logistics, manage the event delivery on site and contribute towards development of new and innovative event concepts. An integral part of the role will involve management of relationships with key stakeholders, event volunteers, internal departments and contractors, to ensure timely completion and deliver of events through effective collaborative working.

The successful candidate must:

· have proven event management experience

· be able to build excellent rapport and maintain strong relationships across all levels

· exercise flexibility and remain calm and professional under pressure

· apply excellent organisational skills, effectively prioritising demanding workload
