Elected Non-Executive Director

As part of the continuing development of its governance structure, and to ensure it meets the requirement of the Code of Sports Governance, the board of England Handball has agreed to move from its current format of portfolio directors to one based on skills, knowledge and experience.

On this basis, the board is seeking nominations from individuals who would like to be considered for an elected Non-Exec Director position.  Current director, Bill Baillie whose first four year term is coming to an end, is seeking to stand for re-election onto the board.

· The board are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has experience in any of the following areas:

· Performance Sport

· HR

· Financial Management

· Child Protection/Safeguarding.

The position is available on a four-year term in line with England Handball’s Articles of Association.   A copy of the role description for this position, including full duties, functions and a person specification, together with a skills and experience questionnaire is available from the England Handball website.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified individuals through the submission of a CV, a covering letter which outlines their suitability for the role, and why they wish to be considered, that can be shared with members and a completed skills and experience questionnaire.

This should be sent to David Meli, CEO (david.meli@englandhandball.com) by no later than Monday 7 August 2017.

In line with its policy on Equality & Diversity, England Handball is keen to encourage applications from women and members of black and minority ethnic groups as well as people with a disability.

Nominations will be considered by the board to ensure their suitability to be put forward to the members for election at the AGM on 2 Sept 2017.
