World Class Programmes Assistant Manager - Para-Swimming

This role will require significant travel within Great Britain and Internationally 

British Para-Swimming are seeking a World Class Programmes Assistant Manager to manage all operational aspects of the British Para-Swimming National Performance Centre in Manchester and to assist in ensuring that the British Para-Swimming World Class Swimming pathways and programmes operate in a well structured, co-ordinated manner, maintaining a good flow of information between coaches and senior management. 

The successful candidate will develop and implement an accommodation strategy for athletes and coaches visiting Manchester to train, as well as a transportation strategy around Manchester linking accommodation, training venues and education establishments. They will also coordinate all domestic camp and competition requirements and undertake the role of Team Manager at all World Class Podium Potential and Para-Swimming Academy Squad activities including camps and competitions as approved by the World Class Programmes Manager. 

We are looking for a person educated to degree level or equivalent that is a highly effective communicator with the ability to communicate easily to a range of audiences including athletes, parents and coaches. 

The person we appoint will have some management and leadership experience with exposure to high performance sports issues and solutions and have the ability to maintain performance under pressure and take independent action and be proactive to accomplish objectives. Exposure to World, Paralympic, Olympic or International level coaches, support services and athletes in a competition or camp environment is desirable.
