Trust Director 

Overall Objective

Developing a strategic vision for Leicester City Football Club Community Trust in line with its charitable objectives and the vision and mission of Leicester City Football Club and partners. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Community Trust Director will manage and further develop all aspects of the Community Programme and its initiatives, ensuring that all Community activities meet the Projects aims and financial objectives, fulfilling Leicester City Football Club’s commitment to the Community that it serves. 

The main elements of the role are outlined below: 

Main duties:

· Develop, write, implement and evaluate a strategic 3 year plan for the Community Trust

· Create and sustain a professional culture in LCFC Community Trust and staff with clear behaviour values.

· Support, develop and build a dynamic and cohesive Community Trust delivery team that share a ‘can do’ and committed approach to providing a high quality offer

· Lead, support and manage the LCFC Trust Management Team to deliver the operational goals of the organisation in line with the strategic priorities.

· Devise and implement a business plan for the scheme aligned to the strategic plan and in consultation with the Board of Trustees, consistently review, evaluate and report on progress.

· Identify and access new funding streams to increase the output of the Community Programme ensuring long-term sustainability and diversification of the Trust.

· Accountable for the management of the Community Trust’s budget ensuring that the Scheme runs effectively in line with annual budgets and strategic targets.

· Oversee production of monthly management accounts.

· Optimise revenue generation for all planned and potential projects allied to Leicester City Football Club Community Trust in partnership with Football National Governing Bodies, Premier League, The Football Association and the Football League.

· Initiate and build relationships with key contacts and stakeholders, including local authorities, funding partners, corporate sponsors and the Football National Governing Bodies.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with Leicester City Football Club across all departments. 

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible for the Line management of managers and project officers including setting performance targets and monitoring their achievement.

· Ensure that the training and upskilling of the full time officers enables them to perform at the appropriate level in accordance with their Job Descriptions. 

· We are looking for a candidate ideally with the following skills and qualifications:

Essential

· Extensive proven experience in providing strategic direction and operational line management to full time, part- time and casual officers. 

· Proven experience in bid writing and acquiring grants that diversifies the funding mix of the Trust.

· Proven ability to expertly manage Financial and Human resources in order to achieve set delivery outcomes

· Able to manage senior level strategic relationships of the highest professional standard with key stakeholders across a multitude of sectors

· High level of understanding and experience of the expectations and standards set by the Premier League, Premier League Charitable Fund, the FA and other sporting bodies

· Understanding of monitoring processes particularly in relation to the Premier League and the Premier League Charitable Fund

· Ability to devise, implement and apply policies and procedures that underpin the daily operations of the Community Trust

· Understanding and experience of charity legal and financial requirements

· Ability and experience of representing the Trust in a professional and positive manner in media outlets and platforms and to adhere to the Club and Trust’s brand values

· Able to communicate to the highest level, listen, interpret and convey information in a clear and accurate manner

· Demonstrate honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all time

· Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment being pro-active in managing time, work collaboratively while building an understanding of the internal and external environment in order to deliver work in a highly effective and professional manner

· Resilient with the ability to maintain professionalism, multi task and perform well under pressure using a calm demeanour at all times

· Knowledge and understanding of club policies, procedures and regulations and those of governing bodies relating to the role

· A commitment to continuing professional development and undertaking required training, including mandatory Club Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety training

· Good verbal and written communication skills and IT skills

The Trust will be offering a salary circa £60,000 alongside a benefits package including pension, 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and LCFC season tickets upon successful probation period.
