Commercial Officer

Salary: £22,500 - £32,500 (dependent on experience)

Location: 60 Charlotte Street, London W1T 2NU. Travel may also be required in the UK and abroad as necessary.

Hours of work: Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week, and include work in evenings and weekends as required.

Job Purpose:

· The Commercial Officer will work very closely with the Commercial Manager to support the successful implementation of the Commercial Team’s strategic plan.  This plan includes ambitious income targets from corporate sponsors as well as public and philanthropic fundraising which will require collaborative cross team working and a flexible and entrepreneurial approach from all Commercial team members.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Commercial Manager in managing all aspects of the BPA’s corporate partnerships to ensure they deliver value for the BPA and each of the commercial partners over the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games cycle.

· In agreement with the Commercial Manager, take responsibility for the delivery of some partner contractual rights / aid partnership activation.

Support the Commercial Manager in the new corporate partner acquisition process, including, but not limited to:

· Researching new prospects

· The creation of compelling proposals

· Instigating meetings with prospects

· Proactively chasing leads

Support the Commercial Manager in the development of events and hospitality activations for the BPA’s partners.

Support the Commercial Manager with BPA owned event and hospitality experiences, including, but not limited to:

· Identifying hospitality opportunities

· Sourcing venues

· Budget creation and monitoring

· Recruiting athletes for commercial appearances

· Liaise with relevant National Governing Bodies / sports coaches

· Ensure wider commercial team are kept updated

Support the Commercial Manager in developing a comprehensive and valuable value in kind (VIK) programme including, but not limited to:

· Identification of budget relieving, VIK opportunities

· Creation of tracking systems and processing for monitoring VIK

· Management of VIK partners and their associated rights

· Where required, assist other members of the commercial team, inclusive of Commercial Director and Head of Philanthropy.
