Chief Executive

Founded 88 years ago, The Pony Club is a national charity for members up to the age of 25 and has been the launch pad for many successful international equestrian careers. With 27,000 members at 340 branches, plus another 13,000 through 480 independent centres, The Pony Club is led by its Board of Trustees supported by various specialist committees, all drawn from the 10,000 volunteers who run the day to day activities in the branches and centres.

The Chief Executive will manage a full time professional central management team. Responsibilities include administration, financial management, sponsorship, safeguarding, health and safety, advertising and promoting The Pony Club nationally, and the organisation of the many national events, which take place primarily in the school/university holiday periods. The Chief Executive will report to the Board of Trustees and work very closely with them and the specialist committees. Full details of The Pony Club are on the website www.pcuk.org

Candidates must have the personality and experience to lead the team and be comfortable in dealing at all levels with Trustees, volunteers, members, coaches and sponsors. A youthful outlook with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, commercial and business acumen is essential. Experience of The Pony Club, or of other significant equestrian activities, is highly desirable.
