Education & Training Manager

Salary: Circa £35,000

Location: Meriden, West Midlands

British Dressage (BD) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of dressage and a member of the British Equestrian Federation.  We aim to promote and develop dressage in the UK, with training at the very heart of everything that we do to continually improve our sport.  As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the head office team as Education & Training Manager.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Education & Training Manager is responsible for delivering the range of education and training opportunities for BD members.  They will develop, plan and manage all educational activity across BD’s variety of participants, including coaches and judges.

In addition to managing a range of programmes, including UKCC, AASE and judge training and testing, you’ll plan and deliver BD’s major training events, including the National Convention, Judges Convention, Principles of Judging Seminar, Coaches Forum and more.

We’re looking for someone who can bring strong leadership qualities to the role, working closely with all stakeholders and partners to influence strategy and ensure high quality delivery. The post holder must be an excellent communicator and be competent in relationship building at all levels.  Confident and articulate,  you’ll be an effective ambassador for British Dressage with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, working equally well autonomously or as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have proven ability of working in a similar environment, with a high level of coaching knowledge and an understanding of supporting voluntary officials.  A proven track record in education and training is essential, together with a broad knowledge of equestrian sport, while a good understanding of dressage would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of our sport, a flexible approach to working, including some weekends and evenings, is required. For more information please see www.britishdressage.co.uk or contact Angela Green (angela.green@britishdressage.co.uk) for a copy of the Job Description.

To apply, please send a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role and a copy of your CV by email to the Chief Executive, Jason Brautigam: jason.brautigam@britishdressage.co.uk
