Governance and Leadership Framework for Wales (GLFW) Programme Officer

Starting salary £23,000 (0.6 FTE)

Initially 12 months with possibility of extension

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation. Our 320 members include everyone from the Football Association to the British Wheel of Yoga.  We are looking for a GLFW Programme Officer to deliver a support programme for the Sport and Recreation sector in Wales, specifically to Lower Funded National Governing Bodies and other sporting National Organisations.

The Person

You will understand the role and remit of national governing bodies of sport and recreation and the various regulatory regimes which impact on them.  With strong project management ability encompassing a good range of IT skills, excellent communication, advocacy and presentation skills, both oral and written, you will have the confidence and self-motivation to work alone.  You will be working remotely based at the Sport Wales offices in Cardiff with some travel to London.  An ability to speak/communicate in Welsh is desirable.
